Éric Minh Cuong Castaing comes from the field of visual arts: graduated from the Gobelins school of image in Paris, he was for several years graphic designer in animation . Interested in choreographic writing in real time, he first discovered hip-hop in 1997, then butoh, under the guidance of masters Carlotta Ikeda and Gyohei Zaitsu, and finally contemporary dance with notably the German choreographer VA Wölfl.In his company Shonen, he connects dance and new technologies (humanoid robots, drones, augmented reality ...) via processes "in situ in socius".
